Then I would say just leave the trees as it is and concentrate on flowers! Spread many flowers here and there over all your town (it hasn’t to be that much, just 2 next to each other and that quite widely, but the more, the better! I bet when your town has got more flowers you’ll get the perfect town status!! *fingerscrossedforyou*
I could help you out with flowers, I’ll buy all from Nook and I still have some spare normal flowers behind my town hall, so if you like I could bring them for you

(btw our work at Tanja’s perfect town in Tirol became succesful, she just had to put at last more flowers on the left side of her town and now she’s in PTS for 5 days!! Yay! )
